Fightlab have signed an exclusive 5-fight contract with K-1 and Bellator knockout artist Paul 'Semtex' Daley.
Following his successful K-1 debut last month right here in Thailand, Daley is now set for a Bellator title shot in the New Year and he’ll do so wearing Fightlab gear.
That’s right! We’ve secured a deal with one of the most explosive fighters in MMA today, which will see him weigh-in wearing Fightlab gear, walk out wearing Fightlab gear and (hopefully) win the Bellator welterweight title wearing Fightlab gear.
In a card being billed as ‘The British Invasion’, Bellator 134 will take place on February 27 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut and is set to be an epic event, with two world titles on the line.
Daley will challenge Douglas Lima in the main event for the Bellator welterweight title. In the other title fight of the night, Britain’s Liam McGeary will battle against Emanuel Newton for the light heavyweight belt.
The fact that Paul Daley is being given an immediate title shot on his Bellator return shows how highly they think of him. And, had he not left the promotion back in 2012 due to visa issues, he may have already been a Bellator champion by now.
However, since leaving Bellator, Daley has maintained an awesome fighting record and gone 5-1 in MMA and 6-0 in kickboxing; something that will send a huge message to Douglas Lima ahead of their fight in February.
If Paul Daley and Liam McGeary can emerge victorious at Bellator 134 it could mark the start of a new era of British fighter dominance within Bellator. One that Fightlab will be proud to be associated with going forward.
Bellator 134 will be broadcast live on Spike TV in the U.S. as well as various other TV channels around the world. Be sure not to miss out on an event that is set to be an absolute blockbuster.
