Fightlab Welcome Chad 'the Grinder' Reiner to Phuket

Posted on November 20 2014

chad ReinerLast week, we welcomed Chad ‘The Grinder’ Reiner not just to Phuket in Thailand but to the Fightlab fight team as well. That’s right, the UFC veteran and former Bellator fighter is here in Thailand looking to further his career and will be fighting under the Fightlab banner going forward.

A former U.S. Marine, Chad Reiner is an experienced welterweight known for his staunch endurance and submission skills. With a MMA record that reads like a who’s who of fighting championships, Chad has amounted over 30 wins in his career so far.

His decision to move to Thailand from his native U.S. is something that must have involved a great deal of thought but one that we here at Fightlab are extremely glad that he made.

Chad will be training out of the world famous Tiger Muay Thai camp right here in Phuket and so it was natural that he would team up with Fightlab, Thailand’s leading fight brand.

The initial plan is for Chad to spend two years here in Thailand honing his skills and learning from some of the best trainers in the business. He’ll also use the opportunity to teach other fighters and conduct seminars. Oh, and of course he’ll also be fighting when opportunities arise.

Chad Reiner’s decision to make Phuket his temporary adopted home is testimony to the island’s reputation as a fitness haven. A place that people travel to for the excellent fitness facilities, stunning landscape and beautiful weather.

We’ll be conducting a short interview with Chad once he’s had a bit of time to settle in; so make sure you check back here on the Fightlab website or keep an eye on our buzzing social media channels to ensure you don’t miss out.
