Glory World Series Middleweight Wayne Barrett to Fight in Fightlab Gear

Posted on October 24 2014

indexIt’s been a busy month for us here at Fightlab, what with Paul Daley’s successful K-1 debut in Pattaya, but that hasn’t stopped our wheels from turning. In fact, we’ve just added another superstar to our growing list of Fightlab-sponsored fighters – Wayne Barrett of Glory World Series fame.

Born in Jamaica to American parents, Barrett is a former Golden Gloves amateur boxing champion who now resides in New York. However, he still tries to get back to his home state of Georgia as often as possible where he trains with Eddie ‘Showtime’ Walker – another highly-talented Glory middleweight – and other elite fighters such as UFC’s Brian Stann and Bellator’s Douglas Lima.

Next month will see Barrett go up against Jason Wilnis at Glory 18 in Oklahoma on November 7. Barrett will be hoping that he can improve on his current Glory record of 5 wins and 1 loss by defeating the Dutchman – something that would firmly cement his position as the number two contender in the Glory middleweight division and send a strong message to number one contender Joe Schilling.

Glory 18 will be shown live on Spike TV, which will give the Fightlab brand huge exposure and provide an awesome opportunity for us to showcase our professional fight gear. Barrett will no doubt put his Fightlab shorts through their paces during the fight but we’re sure that both he and his shorts will be in-tact when the final bell sounds.

For more information about the event, including the full fight card and how to watch it live, check out the Glory World Series website.

Fightlab are extremely proud to be a part of Wayne Barrett’s ongoing Glory dreams and we’re confident that he will tear the place up and emerge victorious on November 7.
